A new article on the TK Projects’ Marketing Partner pages highlights the work of Turn Key Air Conditioning. TKAC is part of the Turn Key group of companies, specialising in the built environment.
TK Air Conditioning is one of the UK’s leading design, installation and maintenance providers for air conditioning. With technical and service centres all over the UK, TK Air Conditioning clients include shops and retail centres, public buildings, airports, hotels and restaurants.
TKAC utilise the latest in energy efficient air conditioning technology in designing air conditioning systems that are tailored to every project. They take into account the business needs of the client and install air conditioning with the minimum of disruption. TK Air Conditioning have pioneered off-site manufacturing techniques and developed ‘plug & play’ air conditioning systems that can be retro fitted into existing business premises.
One recent example is the design and installation of an air conditioning system for the Premier Inn at London’s Kings Cross St Pancras. With 276 gust bedrooms, restaurants, bars and meeting rooms, there were many factors to consider.
For this project TKAC used a Mitsubishi Electric high efficiency heat recovery Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air conditioning system. Operated by the Mitsubishi’s Melcotel™ centralised controller – which has been designed specifically for the hotel sector – this is a highly energy efficient system which ensures heating and air conditioning is utilised exactly where and when it is needed.
The outdoor units for the hotel were constructed off-site on two pre-piped and cabled skids and lowered into position on the hotel roof one quiet Sunday morning. The whole installation was completed in a matter of hours without disturbing a single guest.
